Miracle Babies was born after Dr. Sean Daneshmand and his wife, Marjan, had complications with their pregnancy. They found themselves and their newborn daughter, Natalie, in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
While their personal and emotional experience had a positive outcome, they were profoundly touched by the struggles that many low-income families face when their baby is admitted to the NICU.
In 2009, they started Miracle Babies to provide financial support to families with babies in the NICU.
Since then, Miracle Babies has been able to expand into the realm of prevention-focused programs.
Since 2009, Miracle Babies is proud to have achieved the following:
- Provided financial assistance to more than 2,382 NICU families
- Connected 350 parents via an online family support network
- Distributed more than 2,373 MB Cares packages
